TAPTES Rear Trunk Camping Mattress

TAPTES Rear Trunk Camping Mattress

A thin self-inflating foam pad for older Model Y and Model 3 cars, not the Juniper.

The verdict

The TAPTES Rear Trunk Camping Mattress is a thin self-inflating memory foam pad for older Teslas: TAPTES lists the Model 3 from 2018 to 2023 and the Model Y up to 2025, and says it is not for the Juniper. It needs no pump and rolls into a small bag. It costs $169 on sale ($199 regular) or €152.95. It ranks last of the 19 compared, with the lowest comfort and build-quality scores: the body is 5 cm thick, the warranty lasts 30 days, and the store's Trustpilot record is weak.

Who it's for

You'll love it if you have a Model Y built before the Juniper or a 2018-2023 Model 3, want a pad that inflates itself when you open the valve, and mostly need it for naps, picnics or the odd night.

Look elsewhere if you drive a Juniper Model Y, you are tall (it is 180 cm long, among the shortest here), or you want a warranty longer than a month.

What you'll notice

Self-inflating, no pump

Open the air vent and the memory foam draws in air on its own. TAPTES does not say how long that takes, and no pump is listed. The surface is a plush suede, and the head end is thickened to 10 cm.

A pad more than a mattress

It measures 180 × 130 cm with a 5 cm body. TAPTES does not publish the weight or the packed size, only that it rolls up into a small carry bag, and it makes no claim about the seat-fold slope.

What to watch for

30-day warranty, costly returns

TAPTES guarantees its products for 30 days from receipt. An item that arrives defective must be reported by email within 7 days of delivery for a refund or replacement, while the warranty page also says there are no refunds after 5 days from purchase, which conflicts. Non-quality returns must be unused, and you pay return shipping plus a 20% restocking fee.

Store record and delivery

TAPTES has a Trustpilot rating of 1.4 from 48 reviews store-wide, mostly about slow deliveries, evasive support and refused returns; none mention this mattress. Orders from its US, EU and Australian warehouses are guaranteed within 15-20 days, others within 60 (90 on some routes), and you pay any customs duties.

What owners report

There are no reviews of this mattress on the TAPTES product page, so there is no owner feedback to go on.

The bottom line

The TAPTES pad is cheap, simple and pump-free, but it is thin, short, not made for the Juniper and backed by a 30-day warranty from a store rated 1.4 from 48 reviews on Trustpilot. TAPTES lists the code TeslaTips (10%) on its coupons page, but it did not apply to this mattress at its sale price on 2 October 2026. Prices checked 1 October 2026.
